Introducing quotations.
Psychiatry and the many historical milestones it has gone through since the discovery of it to the various positions that it holds today, reflects the growth of society. History tells the tale of certain moments that had made an impact on a large group of individuals at the same time. World War one had changed the ways the world carried itself, and changed the psychological wiring of the individuals who had been directly impacted by the travesties at large. According to Liz Brewster, the author of ‘Bibliotherapy,’ the author states that the practice of psychiatry and the use of literary works had begun developing for hundreds of years. This paper also states that the ever changing definition of bibliotherapy has to do with, “changing attitudes and approaches to mental health treatment, and with the evolving role of the hospital and public libraries” (Brewster,3).

This is a strong argument because the climate around certain situations can indeed change the definition and the way a treatment is being used. Not only does the argument focus on the changes in mental health treatment but it also takes into account the world at large, and what may be readily available to certain districts and individuals in practice. Hospitals and the way they run, tend to evolve as time passes, often having to reinvent themselves to accommodate new medical approaches and to ease the influx of patients who are in demand. The argument brings up another valid point of the access to public libraries. Depending on where an individual is located, the literary works in a public may be limited depending on the budget to accommodate these affairs.
